The VA Community Outreach and Networking Liaison is responsible for building relationships with the Veteran community in support of primarily our IOP/PHP programs but also our other outpatient services.  To be successful in this role, you must be passionate about excellent customer service, have strong attention to detail, strong organization skills, love social networking and speaking, connecting and building rapport with the public, and be a multi-tasker.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key influencers and professionals in the Veterans Affairs field through networking and engagement.
  • Create and post engaging and informative content and posts for social media, blog articles, and other outreach materials in support of the Veteran community.
  • Monitor social media platforms for relevant conversations, trends, and opportunities for engagement.
  • Analyze the performance of social media and outreach efforts using analytics tools to identify areas for improvement.
  • Plan, coordinate, and attend networking events for Veterans Affairs organizations.
  • Create promotional materials and announcements for services offered to the Veteran community.
  • Reach out to event organizers or potential partners to explore opportunities for collaboration, sponsorship, or participation in external networking events. Cultivate relationships with event organizers, industry leaders, and potential partners through ongoing engagement and follow-up after external networking events.
  • Prepare New U Therapy Center staff members who will be participating as speakers or representatives at external networking events, providing training and guidance on presentation topics and key messages.
  • Develop budgets for external networking events, including registration fees, travel expenses, marketing materials, and any other associated costs.
  • Evaluate the impact and ROI of New U Therapy Center's participation in external networking events, assessing factors such as lead generation, brand awareness, and partnership opportunities.
  • Ability to travel and attend conventions, conferences, and local networking and community events during the day time, evening and occasional weekends 
  • Comply with company policies and procedures including HIPAA, ethics, and conduct.

Experience & Education

  • Minimum two years experience in community outreach, event planning, organization, and networking
  • Prior experience with the Veteran community preferred
  • Marketing and Social Media experience is a plus
  • Psychiatric/Mental Health industry experience helpful

Salary: $80,000- $110,000
